this is all painted, no photography mixed in there nor did I copy over a photograph. sometimes i can do realism when I apply myself; you might be surprised..The story behind this one? It’s a self portrait based off of a picture I took of myself in the woods of South Carolina. It was very sunny out there that day and sometimes in places where everything is beautiful, bright, and full of nature I feel that it is so wonderful just to be alive… I know that I will never ever come close to creating or being anything as beautiful as the simple play of light flickering amongst the tree leaves. I feel like a ghost in comparison; a shadow come to life.
